Follow-up comment regarding my earlier post: "RKHS Memorabilia" and YEARBOOKS

April 26, 2019 by Susan DeRuyter LaMontagne (Register to contact)

Of interest to several Alumni requests for past yearbooks: ...In addition to eBay offering a few past RKHS yearbooks, go to the RKHS Alumni website, in the left column under MENU, then select "Yearbooks"... For those that are looking for out-of-print RKHS yearbooks, there are several old yearbook years offered HERE for sale by "Classmates" and/or former RKHS Alumni who are offering to sell past RKHS yearbooks... In other words, the offerings to sell in this one list are combined with requests to buy older yearbooks, so you may find what you are looking for!

RKHS Memorabilia

April 23, 2019 by Susan DeRuyter LaMontagne (Register to contact)

FYI, for all you sentimental collectors... When you do an Internet search for Rufus King High School, you can find that eBay has a lot of neat stuff... Like yearbooks for various years of "The King's Crown"... Photos of: ...From 1973, Mr. John Foti, Athletic Director and U.S. History teacher, remember?... A 1967 photo of our awesome Principal, Mr. John Powers... A 1965 photo of our own track star, Calvin Mallory... A 1971 photo of Football Coach Jerry Zunk... And, much more... Press photos from sports ("Go Generals!"), RKHS architectural close-ups, etc. Be sure to check eBay from time-to-time to find other items that may come up for sale!

Ruth (Wicke) Eastman

April 22, 2019 by Susan DeRuyter LaMontagne (Register to contact)

A fifty-year-old memory: Rufus King H.S. Alumni Ruth Wicke (her maiden name, now Ruth Eastman) graduated either a semester ahead or behind me... I graduated January 1968, so that means Ruth graduated in 1967 or 1968? It has been so many years ago, I cannot remember. I stood up for my red-headed friend, Ruth, when she married in the early 1970s. But, we basically lost touch over the years. I know that most recently, she lived in Kewauskum and West Bend, and has two grown children (son and daughter). I have a photo of Ruth on my profile (from the early 1970s). I remember Ruth played the piano... she could play any sheet music, beautifully. She was also an expert at sewing lovely clothes, and was like a talented seamstress.
